NOTICE OF MAYOR VACANCY
The City of Lake Shore is soliciting letters of interest from qualified individuals to fill the Mayor vacancy on the City Council. The candidate appointed to fill the vacant seat will serve as Mayor from the date of appointment until December 31, 2024.
Lake Shore residents interested in filling this vacancy are requested to submit a one-page letter of interest confirming their eligibility (see criteria below), describing why they are interested in serving the community in this capacity and summarizing their qualifications. To be considered, letters of interest should be submitted to the City by 4:00 pm on Monday, December 19, 2022. Applicants must meet all of the following eligibility requirements: 1) You are eligible to vote in Minnesota; 2) You are 21 years of age, and 3) You will have maintained residency in the City of Lake Shore for at least 30 days as of the date of appointment.
